About the role:

We have exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Technician. This role is responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance related to computer systems, hardware and software. You will work within our ticket system to assist employees/customers as needed. Additionally, there will be interaction with staff and leadership to understand business needs and align technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of computers, hardware, and software within the company.
  • IT Systems and peripheral hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support experience.
  • Work within a ticket system to assist employees / customers as needed with various tasks related to company hardware / software / infrastructure.
  • Help maintain computer and inventory lists, stock lists and other supported applications IT will use in the management of the computer systems.
  • Position is required to become involved with the user training and promotion of internal applications that have been developed and prepared for employee usage.
  • Emphasis on attendance, dependency, efficient time management and punctuality.
  • Follow ITIL practices in Service Management for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement new applications as needed.
  • Provide user and operator support on existing system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science and/or technical certification (e.g. CCNA/CCNP, MCSE,etc).
  • Minimum 3 years help desk and deskside support experience in a corporate environment providing on-premises and remote support.
  • Experienced in HMS (Healthcare management Systems).
  • Experience with monitoring tools; Nagios, cacti, etc.
  • Extensive experience with Hyper-V.
  • Extensive experience with firewalls, FortiGate preferred.
  • Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and Windows 10.
  • Extensive work with Active Directory.
  • Linux System Administration experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals, SSH and other relevant tools and protocols
  • Required to be extremely flexible and can work with little direction and/or adjust to changing needs.
  • Must be available to travel as needed (inside the country).
  • Fluent in Portuguese and Intermediate level of English spoken and written.
  • Only Angolan nationals will be considered.
