About the role:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer Technical Writer & Translator to join our Sales team. This person will provide quality translations and interpretations from English into Portuguese and vice versa, ensuring consistency of terminology and demonstrating highest standards of professional behavior, including dealing with confidential information.

Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Create and maintain a wide range of technical documents, including user guides, manuals, release notes, API documentation, and online help content.
- Translate technical concepts and jargon into understandable and reader-friendly language.
Research and Information Gathering:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and technical teams to gather information and understand complex technical concepts.
- Conduct independent research to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness of technical content.
Documentation Planning:
- Participate in project planning and scoping to determine documentation requirements and timelines.
- Develop documentation plans and outlines, including objectives, target audience, and delivery methods.
Content Organization:
- Organize and structure content logically to ensure easy navigation and user comprehension.
- Create and maintain a central repository for all technical documentation.
Editing and Proofreading:
- Review and edit documents for grammar, clarity, and consistency.
- Ensure documents adhere to established style guides and branding guidelines.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain feedback and input on documentation.
- Assist in maintaining version control and document access for multiple stakeholders.
User Feedback and Improvement:
- Gather user feedback and incorporate it into document revisions.
- Proactively identify areas for documentation improvement and updates.
Visual Elements:
- Work with graphic designers or create visuals and diagrams to enhance the understanding of technical content.
Translation:
- Translate documents from English to Portuguese and vice-versa.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or other technical field or a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or Business with relevant experience in a technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience as a technical writer and translator.
- MUST have industry-specific knowledge and experience (IT, ICT, Cyber Security).
- MUST have proven experience translating documents from english to portuguese and vice-versa.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging language: storytelling par excellence.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese written and spoken.
- Must have Angolan nationality.
