About the job:
The HR Operations Manager has oversight for multiple HR process areas. Primary responsibilities include management of Employee Lifecycle Events shared service processes, as well as the team of professionals who support these processes for the in Angola. The role will have a strong focus on both operational delivery and effective team management, ensuring outstanding levels of service to our internal customers and supporting the ongoing development of our services.
As the HR Operations Manager, you will be directly responsible for Employee Lifecycle Events management, oversight and quality of the team’s activities. Leading this team requires the ability to manage and set direction. The role is focused on creating, building and implementing effective, efficient, and consistent operational processes. The Ops Manager handles all escalations and interfaces with leadership on escalation resolution. You should possess a strong ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions to ensure consistent quality of service delivery. Strong human resources operational knowledge and ability to influence others in decision making is crucial.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the HR operations team managing key HR processes and providing basic employee advisory and support for our employees in Angola.
- Ensure HR data integrity and quality across key HR administrative services.
- Drive and facilitate change to improve the stability, reliability, and scalability of HR operations.
- Collaborate closely with business partners such as payroll services, learning & development, and talent acquisition to ensure smooth HR service delivery.
- Manage a team working on both Core HR employee lifecycle processes, Visa and Payroll input: Team tasks include supporting the process of new joiners, absence management, leavers, and general HR-ticket enquiries, as well as monthly payroll input, processing and compliance checks.
- Monitor and report upon key SLAs, metrics and KPIs to drive the strongest possible output from the HR Operations team.
- Collaborative effectively with wider-HR teams across Partnering, Recruitment, Payroll, etc to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all employee processes.
- Responsible in driving operational HR strategy for the team; removing problems and adopting a proactive approach to partner with the business and provide the best-possible employee experience.
- Communicate clearly with business leaders and stakeholders to inform and educate on HR strategy. In aim, to promote self-serve opportunities, improve HR presence, empower manages and remove obstacles.
- Carry out audits and checks on data changes to ensure ongoing accuracy and processing diligence.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 experience in Human Resources.
- Minimum 5 years´ experience in team leadership and people development.
- Thorough knowledge of HR technical infrastructure (ideally Primavera), Angola Labour law, applicable policies, and procedures.
- Proven experience in managing HR operations, with a track record of simplifying processes and increasing consistency of services.
- A proactive leader who is insightful, thinks out-of-the-box, and is result-oriented.
- Great team player with the ability to contribute through collaboration and create the most effective solutions for business needs.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to review and solve complex problems while considering the bigger picture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
