Finance Supervisor
About The Position
We currently have a great opportunity for a Finance Supervisor to join our Finance team based in Luanda. This role reports to the CFO and will be responsible for delivering treasury accounting services to the Group.
The role involves all aspects of treasury accounting. Understanding treasury risks as well as accounting standards will be important. Understanding of Priority ERP system will be essential. The ideal candidate is expected to work in a high pressure environment that spans several timezones and have great leadership skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Active role in budgeting, forecasting/planning, managing Treasury, and cost control.
- Cash Flow Management, ensure cash is always sufficient for the organization’s operations for all companies of the group.
- Prepare periodical management reports on cashflow utilization and variances, reasons for deviations and propose preliminary recommendations for management review.
- Supervise /assure creation of invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to the customers.
- Collect intragroup payments and secure the revenue of the companies.
- Implementing the Local treasury strategies.
- Monitor and control the financial systems including the ERP (Priority).
- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of the auditors and government regulation.
- Maintain relations with external auditors / tax advisors and adhere to all local regulations if needed.
- Discussion with local regulated institutions and banks for the ongoing activity, requests, and challenges
- Assist and supervise in the implementation and documentation of local and intercompany transactions.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration degree. MBA – Advantage
- CPA licence
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in financial functions e.g. accounting, external auditing, finance controlling, financial reporting, and controlling the finance of at least 5 companies in the same group with complex activity.
- Good knowledge of the Angolan accounting system and tax law.
- MUST have previous experience in managing a finance team including Treasury, Billing, and Organization and support departments.
- MUST possess strong leadership skills and have a hands-on approach.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication.
- Solid knowledge in software systems such as Excel/Word/PowerPoint and ERP system.
- MUSt have prior experience in Angola.
- Fluent in Portuguese and a good level of English - mandatory.
