About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bid Manager to join our Sales and Business Development team. The Bid Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end bid process, from identifying opportunities to preparing winning proposals. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and a meticulous organizer, capable of leading cross-functional teams to deliver compelling bids.

1.     Opportunity Identification:

  •      Research and identify new business opportunities, tenders, and requests for proposals (RFPs) in the target market.
  •      Evaluate opportunities to align with company capabilities and strategic goals.

2.     Bid Planning:

  •       Collaborate with sales, technical, and subject matter experts to create a bid strategy, including win themes and value propositions.
  •       Develop a comprehensive bid plan, timeline, and budget.

3.     Proposal Development:

  •       Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.
  •       Write, edit, and proofread proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness.

4.     Stakeholder Coordination:

  •      Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams involved in the bid process, including sales, technical, legal, and finance departments.
  •      Ensure alignment of all team members with the bid strategy and objectives.

5.     Risk Management:

  •       Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with bids and proposals.
  •       Maintain a risk register and develop contingency plans.

6.     Quality Assurance:

  •       Implement and enforce best practices in proposal development.
  •       Review proposals to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.

7.     Bid Submission:

  •      Oversee the assembly and submission of bids, ensuring all requirements are met.
  •      Track and confirm receipt of submissions.

8.     Post-Bid Analysis:

  •      Conduct post-bid analysis and debriefs, including feedback collection and lessons learned.
  •      Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes in the bid process.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or engineering.
  • Specialization in a technology field will be valued.
  • Professional certifications related to bid management or proposal development.
  • Proven experience in bid management, proposal writing, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the bidding process, including RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.
  • Industry-specific knowledge and experience (IT, ICT, Cyber Security).
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Comfort working with numbers.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience working in a multicultural or international environment.
  • Strong abilities with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Ms Project, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in CRM platform.
  • Portuguese and English languages are essential (written and spoken).
